Hiring the recommended home inspector can cost you Thousands
The answer should be YOU! But if your vermont home inspector is the one (or on the list) referred by your real estate agent then business reality says they are not. Even if they were not directly recommended if they want to be "on the list" of aproved inspectors then you can be certain your inspection may be "fair" to the house but probably not to you.
Real estate agents involved with the sale of a home stand to make thousands of dollars. But only when the sale actually happens. Even a so-called "buyers agent" are actually paid from the sale proceeds. Given the choice between an inspector who they see as a "deal killer" and one who can be relied on to throw softballs which one do you think they'll recommend?
I market directly to consumers only. I don't seek referrals from real estate agents. I do not offer any monetary or any other enducements for agents (called bribes in most circles) to recommend my services. I assume the natural adversarial role against anyone who would deny accurate information to you, my client. You can be certain that the opinions I express about the property are without bias or influence from anyone else involved in the transaction. You are my client and I work only for your interests.
You can trust the information I report about the property. Unlike other inspectors the report and our opinions about the property not shared with anyone without your express written instruction to do so. Our opinions are always based on documentable facts and stated as objectively as possible. They will neither be soft pedaled or overstated but will be followed to their logical conclusion with context in terms of the deal for you. So you have the best home inspection infromation to make good decisions in the best interest of you and your family.
